Pemberley Retrievers is a small kennel located on a 30-acre farmette
in NE Wisconsin. We train and breed Golden Retrievers that are a credit to the breed. As we are involved in search
and rescue work with our dogs and also train for basic field work, our kennel's focus rests on field lines that produce
dogs that excel in search and rescue work and field activities. Puppies from our first female are serving as search
dogs overseas and here in the US. They are also used in hunting, field trialing, and agility and are also family pets.
We belong to the Golden Retriever Club of America and abide by its Code of Ethics. We also are members of the
Northern Flyway Golden Retriever Club in Wisconsin. I am a life member of NASAR, have trained search dogs that have
qualified as air scenting wilderness and cadaver search dogs. I've trained dogs in New York, Florida,
and Wisconsin. Through Civil Air Patrol, I have been involved in search and rescue work since 1971.
Litters
from Webshire's A Study in Saffron WCX JH (Clue)--a AFC AFTCH Rosehill's Mr Speaker MH OS CCA FDHF daughter--have
produced pups that are competing in hunt tests, obedience, agility, and search and rescue work. The pups have all
been excellent markers with notable drive. One pup earned his Seasoned (UKC) title at 18 months; his brother has qualified
operational under national certifying organziations for several search disciplines. The pups play on obstacles as
puppies and end up fast, bold, and eager to please.
One female from last summer's breeding is still available. See
the June 09 Litter page for information.
We offer a 26-month health guarantee.
Pups will have their dew claws removed, receive vaccinations and wormings, and be microchipped; they will be stimulated
from birth and be socialized to a variety of people including children and the elderly plus other dogs, a cat, and such animals
and experiences found on a small farm. We will introduce the pups to wings and birds and basic retrieving; pups
go to their homes having been exposed to sleeping in separate kennels; they will also wander around the fields and ponds on
the property and play on a variety of surfaces with varying stability and in the "playgrounds" set up in the puppy
areas both indoors and outdoors.
